CC Belle Boutique

That girl, yap that one right up there ^^^^^^^ I’ve known her since I was about three. We met back in preschool in KY on our first day of school 25 years ago (ok longer than than but saying we are 32 makes me feel old) Little did I know that the first day of preschool, hiding under the teacher’s desk giggling about nothing, drinking chocolate milk and kissing boys in the corner would lead to a lifetime of friendship and continued giggles.

I love that I can look back and never remember a fight between us but can remember countless times where we laughed until we cried. Random falls in the hall, throwing a McDonalds drink cup at me through the drive-thru, dress up in her closet (as an adult), the wig, and the list goes on and on! She has her weird quirks…especially when it comes to eating spaghetti or her Mcdoubles (lord help us all)! Her refusal to smile for any photo drives me nuts as a photographer (I stole the one above from her Facebook) and her weird sense of style which oddly looks amazing on her makes her all the more fun to be around.

Who knew that our days growing up in KY would lead to us both living in TN and both of us owning businesses? I have to say even though we don’t get to see each other as often as I’d like, it’s nice to have a little piece of home here in TN. I love having her and her family close by and having people I can count on is something super important to me.

Today I went to visit her new store location in Jefferson City TN, CC Belle Boutique. If you have never been it’s worth the drive there! A clothing boutique full of amazing deals set in a funky antique designed store.

Amanda named the store after her sister Crystal (CC) who went to Heaven on April 17, 2013.  Crystal gave so much to this world despite her struggles with cerebral palsy and Amanda wanted to honor her sister’s strength. I had the honor of knowing Crystal since birth and remember how big her smile. I think Amanda’s purpose in owning CC Belle is to make others smile.

Amanda definitely didn’t have it easy growing up. I could tell you stories upon stories of how she’s raised above all the hard things life threw her way. However, I love how despite all life has dealt her, she’s doing just fine! She running a very successful business, has a wonderful family, and doing what she loves.

I’m super proud of her and happy to have her as my forever friend!
