I believe there are two important things you would do for the next generation. Teach them about Jesus and show up in their daily lives. Both take daily commitment and mindfulness, but what an amazing legacy to leave! My pastors, Chris and Michelle Stephens are doing just that for their six grandchildren. They are also showing up IN PHOTOS and not just behind the camera. They are making their first annual Knoxville family session a priority. I love that they are making these memories together. Memories that will one day be placed in tiny silver picture frames on fireplace mantles!
Family Session
Michelle’s been wanting a professional Christmas session for years. She wanted herself, pastor Chris Stephens, the dog, her three kids, their spouses, and all the grandchildren in one large family portrait. This week that Knoxville family session happened, this time with just the grandbabies. Picture six grandbabies all under the age of 6. Jael 6, Bella 5, Scarlett 3, River 3, Judah 4 months, Valor 3 months, oh and let’s not forget the dog still a pup! What could go wrong? LOL
The session was a big success (besides River falling off the bed)! Don’t worry, if you know him this was to be expected and you may have giggled a little reading that, he’s fine! Picture all 6 kids giggling, screaming, running around, and me trying to get the perfect shot. They were excited to be around their Mimi and Pop-Pop and each other. Some people may think I’m crazy for enjoying this chaos, but I’m around all of them enough that it’s pure joy for me! Shout out to Faith, Zac, and Micah for helping with the kids in the waiting room while they waited their turn.
Grandparents, make time to be in front of the camera with your grandbabies. It doesn’t have to be in a professional setting, it can simply be a selfie. I promise you, either way, the moment will be treasured!
Thank You
Pastor Chris and Michelle thank you for coming, thank you for including me in your family, thank you for the legacies you are leaving, and thank you for all you do for the Kingdom. Enjoy!
