Marblegate Farm Wedding
We found Fall and it was at Marblegate Farm! Even though Sam and Angela’s wasn’t until October 26, this was our first official wedding this year that looked like Fall. Fall is my favorite time of year! Can you hear the excitement in that sentence? If you can’t, trust me there’s a lot of excitement in it!
Angela and Sam booked us over two years ago for their Marblegate Farm wedding. At this time Marblegate Farm wasn’t even opened as a wedding venue when they booked us as their wedding photographers. When I met with Angela she had been searching for wedding venues but hadn’t found the perfect one just yet. Soon after booking us, I got an email telling me about this mystery venue name Marblegate Farm. I was curious and super excited to get to shoot at a new wedding venue here in Knoxville, TN.
We decided to shoot Sam and Angela’s engagement photos at Marblegate Farm the following year. This would be our first time at the wedding venue. Shooting their engagement photos there made me super excited to shoot their wedding! Marblegate Farm is stunning!
Fall Wedding Day
When we arrived for our first Marblegate Farm wedding we were so excited. If you’ve never been to Marblegate Farm, you need to go to a wedding there for it’s a stunning wedding venue.
We arrived at the farmhouse, where the girls were getting ready. We did some getting ready photos where with Anglea and her girls (and one bride-guy as we called him) After this we went over to the boathouse where the guys were getting ready (and one grooms-girl). The property is around 200 acres, so there’s a lot of ground to cover. The cool factor Marblegate has a staff member take us and the couple around on golf carts for photos, so it saves us a lot of time and energy.
Also, let me say this, the staff at Marblegate were amazing to work with. The property was pristine. I can not say enough good things about this wedding venue!
Some Cool Things
I love a wedding that has amazing wedding venues, this one clearly did! I also love when the bride and groom include cool things. One of my favorite things that Sam and Angela did was instead of having flowers as centerpieces, they had cake centerpieces…yes CAKE! Each table had a different kind of cake, but no one knew which type of it was. This got people excited to guess which kind of cake, but also once they cut it they started talking to other tables to get the type of cake they wanted. I loved this so much!
The other thing I loved was they had Chic-fil-a! Yes, you read that correctly! Rosa’s Catering did carter the wedding with a family-style type catering, which was neat. But the couple sent everyone home with a Chic-fil-a sandwich! It was the best favor I’ve ever got to take home. I was excited to put it in the fridge and eat it the next day on a Sunday (when the Lord’s chicken place wasn’t even open)
My Favorite Thing
My favorite thing about this Marblegate Farm wedding was the couple! Sam and Angela have been a dream to work with! I’m kinda sad that I won’t be hearing from them or seeing them as much now. After planning a wedding with someone for two years, you really start getting used to interacting with someone!
Congratulations friends! I wish you the best!
