The Couple
Dallas and Sierra met at The Avenue Church a few years back. I always love asking the couple detail about how they met because some stories are just too good not to share!
Sierra said that she had moved to the area and attended a life group at The Avenue. That night she introduced herself (in a pretty aggressive way she stated) and challenged the people in the group to come to Friday night prayer. Dallas, halfway through her story picks up where she was talking and excitedly told me he went to prayer that Friday night. He said he was the only one from the group that showed up. Dallas said he was praying, looked up, and couldn’t stop looking at her. In that moment he said he knew he just had to ask her out, so he eventually did.
Dallas told me about their first dates and then their engagement. He was so excited to share details of their relationship. He was practically beside himself! I love when the men are as excited as the woman is about telling the world their love story!
Both Sierra and Dallas continued to fill me in on bits and pieces of their story while I shot their photos post-ceremony. It was a breath of fresh air knowing they started their relationship off serving Jesus and that their marriage had a good foundation! They even planned their honeymoon to be after church the next day because they didn’t want to miss service together! That may seem silly to some or even not a big deal, but it made my heart happy. I love seeing couples serve the Lord together!
