Rolling With It
What do you do when your client contacts you and tells you that her postponed wedding (due to the world shutting down) has been rescheduled in three weeks? YOU ROLL WITH IT, and you enjoy every minute of it! This is what happened with Seth and Jacquelyn’s wedding. They did not want to push their wedding date out any further, so they didn’t. They found a venue near their home in North Carolina and decided to have it there rather than here in Knoxville. Thankfully, I was available to photograph their Smith Hallow Farm wedding! Everything went perfectly and as you can see it was beautiful!
The Wedding Day
I loaded up the car to head out of town to shoot their Smith Hallow Farm wedding in North Carolina. The drive there was lovely and I’m always up for a road trip. I cranked up the radio, rolled down the windows, pushed the sunroof back, and cruised on!
Once I arrived at the wedding venue I finally got to meet the bride and groom (they were a referral from two former brides). After meeting the couple I walked the property, met a few of the other vendors, and started photographing all of the details. One of my favorite parts of the venue was the yellow door that leads to the bridal suite. I loved the door so much that I decided to use it in some of their detail shots!
Jacquelyn and Seth’s bridal party was large (see below). Their colors were tan for the guys and gold for the ladies. I absolutely loved the ladies’ dresses! Jacquelyn said she let the ladies pick them out themselves. One cool thing about their wedding was the bride’s dress. It was a two-in-one, it was form-fitting, but it also had a wrap that made it look like a ballgown! I had never photographed a dress like that so it was super neat to feel like I was shooting two different dresses.
The wedding was nothing less than a party! It was so fun and intimate! It was worth the wait for sure!
Congratulations
Seth and Jacquelyn, it was good to finally meet you! I pray you to continue to have a joyful relationship and marriage. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
Best Wishes,
Tonya
